We checked into the beautiful Maryculter House Hotel for the evening. Shortly after sitting down to dinner the police arrived. There had been a murder at our evening show! The suspects were still in the building and it was our job to find the murderer.
The theme for the evening’s event was “Circus of Horrors”
“Unspeakable horror at Sir Robert Fosdyke’s All Electric Travelling circus. The great ejaculator has been blown to bits with his own cannon during the matinee performance. Kolic the clown seems upset, as does Madam Tzarina the mysterious Gypsy fortune teller. And who is Annette? Its up to you to interview the ringmaster Ury Fosdyke and the Mighty Atom and ‘Lady of Rubber’ Brenda Loosefarthing. See if you can pick up the pieces for this 1930’s mystery.”
With your table of ten you must work together to interview the suspects as they come around your table. No question is too rediculous, as it may be the one you get the right answer to. Over the course of our three course meal, our table pieced together all of the clues and submitted our findings to the police officer at the end of the evening.
We waited as she read out the other teams answers. Turns out the best answer was saved until last as our team won! We guessed who, why and how. I’m not going to give you any tips or spoilers as you need to go try this for yourself.
After the evenings entertainment was over, we headed to the lounge for some drinks where we sat speaking to the other members of our table until 3am. This was no normal lounge, but a beautiful room filled with sofas, books and a fire place. We then headed to our room to sleep, happy and tired from catching the murderer.
