The Edinburgh Bucket List

I’m lucky enough to live just a two hour drive, from what I think is Scotland’s most beautiful City.

Even though I’ve visited Edinburgh probably every year since I was born, it wasn’t until last weekend I actually explored the city.   Edinburgh has so much to offer including history, horror, food and fun .  The below are my must do bucket list items for your visit to Edinburgh.

1: Visit Edinburgh Castle – the most visited attraction in Scotland

2:  The Real Mary King’s Close  – Visit underground Edinburgh and learn about its history.

3: Camera Obscura – Enter a world of fun, magic and illusions.  Camera Obscura, on the Royal Mile, offers 5 floors of fun and learning.

4: The Diamond Heist at Escape Hour  – You have one hour to steal the diamond and escape!  Will you manage?

5: The Edinburgh Dungeons   – Learn about life in Scotland a few hundred years ago and some of the horror legends, see some “unusual” torture devices and take a boat trip.  This and so much more is waiting for you in Edinburgh Dungeons.

6: Visit The Elephant House – The Birthplace of Harry Potter

7: Enjoy a fantastic meal at “Burger Meats Bun” – Including some battered macaroni cheese bites

And 3 I need to try on my next trip to Edinburgh

8: Visit the Marshmallow Lady

9: Climb to the top of Arthur’s Seat

10: Visit the Royal Botanic Gardens
