At the beginning of this year I noticed my clothes were starting to feel a little tighter, and I was getting out of breath walking up stairs again :s
After all the work I’d put into losing weight back in 2014 and keeping it off, I got a bit off a shock when I stepped on the scales at the beginning of March and had gained 2 stone again in the last year.
I had a few shitty life things going on at the beginning of the year, which led to my habit of binge eating and being lazy like ALL the time, but I’m sorting it out now.
I’m still 2 stone lighter than I’ve been at my heaviest but I’m definitely feeling unhealthy at the moment. Since the beginning of March I’ve lost 8lbs of that 2 stone. So at least I have my focus back again.
I don’t believe in diets, and prefer to lose my weight healthily, and slowly – preparing my lunches in advance again and home cooked meals. I have 20lbs to lose to get back to my “happy” weight, which I’m aiming to get back to for our September trip at the latest, although July’s trip to Lanzarote would be even better!
David and I have been heading out for evening walks 3/4 times a week, as well as the health benefits there are some beautiful places that I haven’t seen before, which makes them even better. I’m finding the fresh air great for relaxing my mind as well.
My challenges for April are:
- Drink 2 litres of water every day
- Do at least 1 hours exercise 3 x a week
- Get my eating back on track
- Visit Loch Muick for a 12.5km walk at the end of the month.
Do you have any goals for yourself this month?
