My whole life now is because of a list I wrote around 4 years ago.
It wasn’t a case of just writing everything down though, I had to actually go through with things.
If I hadn’t started my bucket list I would still be overweight and depressed.
I wouldn’t have started my blog.
I then wouldn’t have contacted a newspaper to help with my bucket list, which in turn meant my list wouldn’t have been picked up in international press.
This would have meant I wouldn’t have been able to have had half of the experiences I’ve had, or work with some amazing companies.
I wouldn’t have met an amazing community of local bloggers who meet up and support each other.
I wouldn’t have taken part in a Halloween show, and would have missed out on the best few Halloweens of my life scaring people.
If I hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have discovered my love for special effects make up.
I wouldn’t have visited ten countries this year.
I wouldn’t have flown a plane, swam with sharks, sky dived or bungee jumped.
I wouldn’t have discovered a deep love for Escape Rooms.
I wouldn’t have faced my fears.
I wouldn’t be happy.
Yes I am aware I am very lucky that a lot of this has happened, but it wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t take that small step in the first place. I don’t want to even imagine how my life would be if I hadn’t started my bucket list.
There are still many things in my life I need to improve on, but if all these things can happen in such a short time, I have no doubt I’ll achieve everything I want to in life.
So start now. Get writing your list down. Don’t make your life a list of things you didn’t do.
Happy Bucket Listing
