Completing my Bucket List

25Hours Hotel Bikini Berlin

The 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin is as diverse as the big city itself. It is located in the City West and is as wild as a jungle. The hotel showcases cosmopolitan Berlin at its location in the listed Bikini-Haus building between the Berlin Zoo and Breitscheidplatz designer Werner Aisslinger and his team created a hotel world playing with the contrasts of nature and culture. The hotel is popular not only among its own guests, thanks to the restaurant and bar on the top floor with a 360° rooftop terrace and first-class views of the city and the Berlin Zoo.

From the moment you walk in the front door, you can tell this isn’t your standard hotel.  A mini welcomes you to the building, from there you take the elevator to the reception.

Due to the strikes in Berlin airport, I arrived into the city a lot later than planned, and ended up sitting on a 4 hour train from Frankfurt.  So by the time I arrived at the hotel I was ready to put my feet up.

Check in was quick and easy, and within minutes I was in my beautiful jungle view room.

Before unpacking I headed over to check out the amazing view of the monkey enclosure, and spent the next hour relaxing in the hammock.  Every hotel room should come with it’s own hammock!

The hotel is well known for its Monkey Bar on the roof.  I headed up to have a look around and saw some fantastic cocktails on offer, but after a long day of travel and exploring it was an early night for me with a coke light.

In the morning. a breakfast buffet was served up on the roof terrace.  It was a nice morning in Berlin so it was warm enough to sit outside.  The food selection was varied with cooked and continental breakfast on offer.  From my seat I could look onto the gazelle exhibit – not your typical hotel view in the middle of a big city.

The hotel was in a great area.  With the zoo next door, walking distance to many shops, and bus stops right outside, it’s the perfect place to stay on your trip to Berlin.
