Well 2017 has been… interesting so far. A year full of many ups and downs.
I’ve been away from the blog for a while as real life got in the way and has knocked me out of sorts for a bit.
But lets discuss some positives.
At the beginning of the year a friend and I started up an events company – Northern Frights. We specialise in murder mysteries and horror themed events, and this October will be running the Halloween event at the local carnival – how exciting! It’s going pretty well so far and I’m loving it!
Then some proper crap stuff happened that I’ve been having to deal with. But now it’s time to sort myself out again and start concentrating on making myself happy again
I feel like I’ve lost myself a bit this year so that needs to change.
I’ve been watching my health again and have lost 14lbs this year so far, still a bit of a distance to get back to my wedding weight, but I’ll get there.
After College of Wizardry in March, and meeting amazing people I felt comfortable with, I realised I’ve not been embracing the true me. Through running Northern Frights I’ve met such amazing people with similar interests, and had an amazing night at both our Make up artist’s wedding at the weekend, where I dressed exactly how I wanted (and not how I felt I was expected to dress) and felt totally amazing! It was also the perfect occasion to meet many other awesome people.
Now’s the time to focus on my goals for the rest of 2017:
- Concentrate on looking after my health – physical and mental.
- Make Northern Frights a kick ass business.
- Embrace who I am.
- Have a great family holiday to Florida.
- Return to College of Wizardry in November.
- Spend more time hanging out with awesome people.
- Get out more and try new things.
Well that’s it for now. What are your goals for the rest of the year?
